Learning to love by offering small sacrifices with joy.

The Little Box of Virtues is a Catholic educational toy that teaches children to practice good deeds in a concrete, visual, and daily way.

Inspired by the methodology used by Saint Louis and Saint Zélie Martin , parents of Saint Thérèse of Lisieux, this approach helps to shape the child's heart through the constant practice of virtues—starting with small things.

More than teaching good habits, she educates for holiness.

✨ How the method works (summarized)

The method is simple, profound, and practical:

1️⃣ The child practices a concrete virtue.

During the day, she is encouraged to perform small actions such as:

  • Love

  • Respect

  • To help

  • Obey

  • Forgive

  • Share

  • To thank

  • Pray

They are simple gestures, but made with intention and love.

2️⃣ Every good deed becomes a visible “act”.

Upon completing the proposed action, the child places the corresponding token inside the box.

This allows:

  • Visualize the effort made.

  • Create consistency.

  • Developing responsibility

  • Encourage perseverance

3️⃣ At the end of the day: dialogue and training

Parents or guardians talk to the child:

  • They celebrate the virtues lived.

  • They reflect on the difficulties.

  • They are planning improvements for the following day.

The next day, the process begins again.

Repetition transforms actions into habits — and habits form virtues.

🌿 Families of Cultivated Virtues

The Little Box develops three major families of virtues:

⭐ Virtues of Sacrifice

They teach us to renounce small desires for love.
There is no virtue without sacrifice — and there is no destruction of vices without effort.
Here, children learn that growing up requires small sacrifices.

⭐ Virtues of Order

They foster discipline, prudence, justice, and righteousness.
They help combat disorder, impulsiveness, and carelessness.

⭐ Virtues of Peace

They cultivate tranquility, maturity, and inner balance.
They teach you to act calmly even in the face of difficulties.

💛 Why doesn't the toy come assembled?

Because the very act of assembling, cutting, and gluing is already part of the learning process.

The child:

  • Practice patience.

  • Develops motor coordination.

  • Learn to be diligent in what you build.

  • Enjoy quality time with your family.

Construction is also education.
